Mission Statement
Facilitate, promote and develop Futsal recreationally and competitively in a positive environment.
Current
My name is Tyler Champt I am currently working on my undergrad at Central Michigan University for parks recreation and leisure service administration with a concentration on commercial recreation and facility management with minors in hospitality and event management. I am expected to graduate in December of 2012. Also I created and run the Annual Fast Break 4v4 Soccer Tournament in Traverse City since 2009. This tournament does reflect a lot of my soccer beliefs and is based on my passion of futsal.
Future
Once I graduate I hope to become involved with the growth and development of Futsal and soccer in the Untied States and around the world. I hope to provide opportunities for everyone willing to gain the positive social, emotional and physical benefits that soccer and futsal can provide. Furthermore, I want to create an entire environment, facility and program that can share and promote those benefits to everyone competitive, recreational, young, adult, rich and poor.
Background
I grew up in Traverse City Michigan attended West Senior High School. I played soccer since I could walk and futsal since 2004. Teams I played with include YMCA(recreational), TBAYS (recreational), North Storm (select), Omega(independent soccer & Futsal) and Traverse City West High School (High School Division 1 State Champs). From these experiences and researching other successful soccer and futsal countries and organizations through books and first hand experiences I have come to realize the power of soccer and futsal, on my own life and on others. I hope to create and promote Futsal and Soccer to others and provide everything I wasn’t as fortunate to have.
