Vounteer Code of Conduct

I promise to;

1. concentrate first and foremost on setting a good example for my players by my own personal behavior
2. not strike, insult, berate, or demean my players, their parents, the referees, the opposing team members, their parents, or their coaches or encourage my players or parents to do so. Indeed, I will actively intervene if I see this taking place during any practice, scrimmage, or game in which my team is involved.
3.  not coach or interact with my players in any way while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4.  commit myself to continuously improve my coaching skills and to take advantage of workshops, licensing clinics, and training programs whenever possible.
5. recognize the authority of referees at all levels and to abide by the decisions made by referees with regard to all aspects of the game.
6.  have Fun, its just a game!
7. create an environment of respect, high standards, and clear expectations for individual and team success for on and off the field.
8. to raise the intensity, speed level of individual play, team play and overall technical, tactical skills of players. I believe player development means more than winning.
9. to instill pride and ownership of the team to the players.
10. to create positive memories and experiences that they will hold for the rest of their lives.
11. to create a first class program for first class people.
12. to assist in whatever way I can in developing GTSL program so that the next generation players have the same if not better opportunities than the current players.
13. you agree to and will be subject to a background checks and reference checks. You must have a current Risk Management Card on you at all times.
14. Player medical releases and pass cards are accessible at all events .
15. You understand, agree with and support the AYSO, GTSL, MSYSA philosophy, rules and policies
16. I understand that violations of items number 2 and 3, 13 will result in sanctions up to my immediate removal as a coach.
17. Remember that soccer is a game, and treat players and coaches on other teams as opponents, not enemies.
